Day Two: A Quote from your Favorite Writer
I don’t really have a favorite writer, but while looking up tickets for Thor on saturday I thought of a particular writer who’s had a huge impact on pop culture. That writer is Stan Lee, the creator of Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man, Hulk, the Fantastic Four, and a huge number of other superheroes.

Now, admittedly I haven’t read many of his works and I imagine not too many people have, but pretty much everyone knows who Peter Parker or Tony Stark when you think about it. The impact on popular culture Stan Lee and his works have had is pretty gargantuan, I mean every huge blockbuster movie that comes out now is one about a superhero, including Thor which comes out tomorrow. This man has given children and adults all over the world numerous characters they can look up to and relate to and that includes myself.
The quote here is one that pretty much everyone will hear in their lifetime:
“With great power comes great responsibility.” (From the Spider-Man series)

This quote can also be traced back to Voltaire and Karl Marx. Jesus of Nazareth also said something similar, “To whom much is given, much will be required.”
Wow, that was powerful stuff… but it doesn’t seem like enough. Luckily (while I was searching the internet), I found another one that I like a lot and I hope you like it too.
“There is only one who is all powerful, and his greatest weapon is love.” (From Silver Surfer)
